At this time, we can only recommend the following poker sites for US players who really need their online poker fix. Please check back often as we are always updating our recommendations:

Most US players new to online poker have no clue where to begin playing. A quick google search might bring up over 100 poker sites for US players with varying promotions, games, and restrictions, except much of that information is outdated since Black Friday which occurred on April 15th, 2011.
US players have much less option to choose from when compared to early 2011. And, honestly, we can’t trust some of the fly-by-night poker sites that have recently popped up advertising “US FRIENDLY” or whatever.
Your physical location is the biggest piece of the puzzle, even within the US, as some online poker sites will accept players from certain states as opposed to other states. It’s confusing. Of course, if you hail from Canada, Europe, Australia, or any other locale where it is legal to play online poker you will have a lot of great options available to you. Don’t worry about breaking the law, poker sites will not accept your membership if your IP address resides outside their terms and conditions.
But for the US players, the choices are tougher. The security of your personal information and money is a big factor. You can never bee too careful when dealing with money on the internet. You want to find a poker room that WILL PAY YOU OUT! The security of your personal information is also key. Not only can your money be taken (look at Full Tilt Poker and Ultimate Bet – two of the largest online poker rooms ever and still owing US customers!) but your personal information is at risk!
The biggest issue with crappy US facing poker and casino sites is simply getting paid. Receiving a check a month after you request it, and then having it bounce when you try to deposit it is just not acceptable. And then having to pay the bounced check fees to your bank is just infuriating. And no, those poker sites and casino sites will not reimburse you those fees!!
So our two top recommendations for USA players are Ignition Poker and Americas Cardroom – both accept Bitcoin as a deposit and withdrawal option. This means both sites can PAY YOU quickly with the Bitcoin payment method. Rather than waiting a month to receive a bad check, you can receive your Bitcoin payment in 3 days (sometimes less).
And, both sites provide Bitcoin deposits and withdrawals with NO TRANSACTION FEES! If you don’t have a Bitcoin wallet or account set up, don’t worry, it’s easy. Just open an account at Coinbase.
Coinbase is an online wallet – like Paypal – that can handle all your Bitcoin transactions. You can purchase Bitcoin and sell Bitcoin from your account within Coinbase, and then directly transfer funds to your bank account.
We wish there were more options we could recommend for U.S. poker sites, but for now, these 2 are your best options. Check them out and good luck at the tables.
